Today deep into my meditation, I said a prayer.
“Dear God. Please give me vision and make it plain.”
I moved on to silence my mind from the fleeting thought. About a minute later.
“You have the vision. Go put it to work. “
Then it hit me. 💣💥
You can never take a second step until the first one has been made. Do you not know that anything can happen in between the first and second step that can throw you off from where you are going? Yet, we have the confidence to keep walking all the same – without question or fear.
The faith of taking the second, leads to the third and so forth and so on until you reach the destination.
BUT the key is in knowing you will never remain too long at the destination that you are attempting to reach. You will always be ready to move on to the next location.
So is the essence of vision.
In that respect, the vision will never be revealed in full. Your purpose and growth is in being faithful with the small steps. It’s the development of personal confidence, the acquisition of new knowledge in between each step. It is the subsequent wisdom that with all the moving parts of the world around you, the vision will be a different one once you arrive.
So I my prayer is now simply…
“Please reveal the next step because I know that wherever you are taking me…I know it will be good.”
