Getting Clear on This Year’s Goals

This year I set out to accomplish a few things as I seek to grow personally, professionally and spiritually. I am working with an outstanding coach who is helping to me to clarify goals, serve as sounding board for the ideas that come to mind, understanding what is realistic, and even helping me lead teams at work. Above all, she is holding me accountable to achieving the things that I set out to do.

As I mentally recover from the impact of the pandemic, some of those things I desire to build and rebuild include.

  1. Songer professional network/ meaningful personal connections.
  2. Resilience: Demonstrate more confidence in uncertainty and making quicker decisions, and taking on challenges faster.
  3. Become more productive.
  4. Remain Up to date on the latest Advancements in Technology as it relates to productivity/ Reduce paper utilization.
  5. Strengthen core expertise in leading and executing strategic initiatives and Data Insights.
  6. Read more books/research on my career path and industry.
  7. Increase Communication: Become a better public speaker/presenter. Contribute to publications, blogs, etc.
  8. Be a Mentor-Inspire/empower others to increase productivity and pursue excellence in their own way. Teach others productivity or business skills.
  9. Develop Leadership Presence that is inviting.
  10. Personal Brand: Expand my core work and expertise outside of the workplace.
  11. Strengthen Economic Stability and increase income.

Professionally, I aim to:

  • Research articles/books on Data Analytics and Leading Digital Transformation, and Corporate Strategy Execution.
  • Publish work or ideas to local business publication. (i.e. Valley Business Front, LinkedIn Pulse)
  • Seek Certification in Project Management, Strategic Management, and even Data Analytics.
  • Learn Python and develop Mastery in Excel, Power Bi, Data visualization tactics.
  • Develop Project Management Office and Collaborate across the organization and externally to provide data to the leadership team.
  • Launch several Personal Projects that I’ve put off for quite some time: Bourbonite Society, Nortalent, Nortal Consulting

I do have a lot of work to do this year! Hopefully working with my coach will help me achieve some of these!
