Welcome to The Book of Tron — a personal chronicle where real-world experience meets reflection. This blog is a space for thoughts on style, career shifts, stoic wisdom, and the beautiful struggle of building a meaningful life. Whether I’m sharing lessons from leadership, unpacking philosophy over coffee, or just reflecting on the highs and lows of the human experience, this is where I write it all down — honestly, occasionally sharply, always with purpose.
A Life of Service and Social Impact
Since 2009, I’ve called Salem, VA home — but my work has taken me across industries and communities. I hold dual degrees in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Virginia Tech and earned my MBA from Averett University. Early in my career, I worked as a corporate analyst supporting healthcare leaders, and later launched a model to help seniors age in place.
My path has included government program analysis, workforce development leadership, and launching award-winning tech training and reentry employment programs. Along the way, I discovered a deep calling: helping organizations move from chaos to clarity.
Today, I operate Nortalis Advisory, a boutique consulting firm where I partner with mission-driven teams to turn strategy into execution. I specialize in strategic planning, operations, data, and technology integration — and love helping leaders align resources and make smarter decisions that drive impact.
Deep Roots in Community
I don’t just consult; I serve. I’m proud to serve on the boards of the Council of Community Services, Apple Ridge Farm, and the Leadership Roanoke Valley Alumni Association. I’m 1st Vice President of the Roanoke Valley Breakfast Lions Club, a member of the Rotary Club of Salem, and a mentor in Virginia’s largest business competition, The Gauntlet.
In every role, my goal is the same: to build stronger systems, connect people to opportunity, and leave my corner of the world better than I found it.
Beyond the Resume
When I’m not consulting or in a board meeting, you’ll find me kayaking, digging through thrift stores, cooking international dishes, or lost in the pages of Dan Brown or Robert Greene. I grew up finding peace in rivers and forests — and I still believe nature is where the mind recharges best.
This blog reflects the full spectrum of who I am — strategist, storyteller, and seeker. If you’re into growth, purpose, and a bit of style along the way, I think you’ll feel right at home.
